SMART T32

The SMART T32 - Supportive, Multidisciplinary Addiction Research Training - was funded in Spring 2024. This is the place to come for training so you can join the next generation of translational addiction researchers! We use a multidisciplinary approach that includes both basic and clinical science to help you advance your career.

This program is housed within the department of Psychiatry and is an NIH-funded T32 grant to support up to six postdoctoral trainees each year.  Trainees in this program gain an outstanding education in addiction research including coursework, journal clubs, research presentations, seminar series,  and research time. Applicants interested in addiction research in the laboratories of our faculty and who are T32-eligible (US citizens or green card-holders) are encouraged to apply. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis as of June 15, 2024. For more information, please contact Sarah Aerni (aernise2@upmc.edu).
